Jered Dawnne is one of those guys who can be found (well, sort of) wandering around various places with a camera or two. After working as a wedding photographer professionally for several years, Jered took a sabbatical from shooting from 2009 through 2013, and now pretty much “limits” himself to nature photography.
Jered’s photographic work is rarely meant to capture “real” light. He gets almost as much joy and satisfaction from tweaking photos as he does shooting them, and typically captures scenes in a way that can take full advantage of colour and focus manipulations in the digital darkroom. He’s not the kind of guy who likes to capture things as they are; in fact, he believes that’s what eyes are for, and why be redundant.
Jered originally hails from that rather largish state that borders the Gulf of Mexico in the south-central United States, and currently resides in one of the Dakotas. He spends as much time as he can in Alberta, Canada, and pretty much wishes he lived where the mountains are newer and the air cleaner. In the “real world”, he’s been involved in software quality assurance since the Internet was a youngling, is the father of a few kids, and roommate with a couple of relatively indulgent felines.
